I have another question, how do you have your Gibson’s sitting on there? Is it just touching one side or both?

My 2015 only touches the front. My Epis touch both.

That’s good to have.

My poor dad was kept in for another year after WW2 finished. Put in an outer Sydney Army Barracks and to march around the Square for a year. He wasn’t pleased. But as a younger guy he joined up later so they demobbed the guys that had been in longest first, I think. Which is reasonable. Remember our guys were in it from 1939.

Dad was at a few localities within Australia before being sent overseas to Morotai and Borneo.

Again he never spoke about it until he got a lot older. He would never march on Anzac Day or anything like that but was proud of his service. Joined the RSL (Returned Services League) and wore their little lapel badge on his sports coat.

He didn’t wear his other medals, when I saw them one day and asked about them he said they were “for showing up”.

Many years ago, I worked for a HVAC guy who was color blind. He was amazing, he could wire anything. Fast.

I never knew until one time when he got frustrated and asked me what color a wire was. He was a Badass.

Animals with limitations can really compensate in great ways. 3-legged dogs are awesome.

Yours and The BCRich are the best necks I’ve ever played.
Of course you know the Geddy neck is right up there with them.

My daughter had a deaf dog. The dog learned to watch humans and other dogs for clues. Adapt and overcome.

That is cool. I am not picky about necks. TBS, while that’s a different discussion. Let’s just say that Schmidt is not anywhere close to Meisner’s talent.

Carvin, now Kiesel, makes nice guitars and basses to order at decent prices. A San Diego company. I have been to the showroom, last time was around ‘17. I was actually auditioning Carvin amps. And shortly after that they pulled the plug on the amp business. Although Kiesel may be resurrecting it. The amps were everywhere in So Cal.

I actually have this kinda thing happening with the Talk Talk song “It’s My Life”. Mostly easy bassline but the pre-chorus has always been the part that made me want to learn it. No plans to cover it, as much as I’d love to get my band mates in RSR to do a heavy/dark version. Just learning it for the fun of it, which is mostly the only reason I know any covers.

The pre-chorus into the chorus is (to me) brilliant. I know how to do it but still in the “have to think about it” stage and can only do it slow as of today. Buy, like @JIO said, I catch myself getting through it at the right tempo and finding I didn’t have to think about it.

That when I start to feel like I’m reaching “good” status.

Anyone who can hold it down playing live in two bands is at the very least 'good'! As in - you're good! (I know - I attended two of your shows!)

I've always like that song/bass-line also. Learned it a long time ago - will have to see if I still know it!

I have way too many wants to go that route. Nice as they are, not happening. Unfortunately, I have Plaid syndrome ATM. Taxes and a very expensive emergency surgery for our beloved youngest Cavalier, Izzy, last week has made us cash poor.

Thanks Ken. She is. Her intestine had an obstruction. And she developed pancreatitis. She was very sick. Six days in the pet hospital. She received top notch care. Losing our oldest at Christmas was devastating. We could not imagine losing her.
