Thunderbird Club

Today (12th July) is my last day as an employee at the company I’ve done 34 years service at.
I’m officially calling it retirement but I may look for a day or two work every so often.
Maybe I should get a barista ticket? :) or a truck/bus license?
I might see if any local clubs need a part time concierge / welcomer. 🤣
Congratulations Geoff! New bass day!!

And then there's the recording process back then. It may have been sped up just a little or slowed down just a little. And tuning. They may or may not have tuned to a tuning fork or a tuned up piano. I'm always amused at how much the Rolling Stones speed up and slow down in some of their recordings. It works anyway.
Just one of the reasons I'm not generally a fan of metronomes for rock and roll. Many genres aren't meant to be precise that way.

I had to look it up, what a riot! Sounds like a game I would have tried to play in high school (after much imbibing).
I never could get anyone interested in it. I recently heard there are teams now, although I suspect the rules are a bit stricter. I should check if there's one near me.

Congrats! Wishing you a wonderfully healthy, happy and financially sound retirement!
When I retired I bought myself a nice new bass as a retirement gift, treat yourself, do the same.
