I know a couple who live somewhere in San Ramon. He's an architect consultant and his hobby is making some kind of wiring harnesses for older Porsches. Their daughter married a guy from here. Which they could hardly believe. They are not impressed with anything here. If they are your neighbors, forget what I said, though it still true!

It's amazing what humans have learned to eat, and how many of them require specific preparation to eat or they will kill you. I have wondered how many paleolithic people died in the process of figuring out how to prepare certain fish, crabs, and otherwise poisonous plants.

Smoking is another one that is a leap of faith. Who was the first cave man who decided to light something on fire and stick it in his face.

It took a long time, making a lot of acoustic absorption panels, and filling the room full of crap to make my music room sound passable. Absorption panels are great at reducing high frequency waves from bouncing around a room, but AFAIK they don't do much at lower frequencies.
