top loader…..everything btd at once, lost our AC the weekend of the 4th (of course) and just replaced, not cheap….dryer decided to follow suit so Helene paid for the repair (element) and took the set (Maytag from the 90’s) which we replaced with the Samsung…..to think Samsung was an economy appliance brand when I used to do hifi repair in London in the late 80’s….Front load washer? I get it if adhering to the strictest parameters - in that sense I'm a 'completest' dealing with vintage basses... I usually want to restore them to as close to original as possible. But... your bass is an 'uber-modded' bass which goes outside the lines of original-ness. Would Jack Cassidy care if his Alembic-modded hollow-body Guild had an original pg? I think not. Enjoy its re-definition! It is an awesome bass.It already has the holes, so could see if I like it. No harm, no foul. It's just money. I hope Mike didn't faint or feel compelled to hit the PBW.

Word.I just watched a YouTube vid about "ugly cars" and the Ugo was one. I get that it was cheaply made/low quality... but compared to really ugly cars it actually is not that bad looking. It's simple, utilitarian and purposeful in design - but there are far uglier cars that have been produced.
That's what we have as well. I really like those. No complaints and would buy again.just bought Samsung washer dryer set….certainly looks the part…
Don't say that. We're nearing 5yrs.Front load washer? Give it about 5 years and the bearing will be toast.
I was just wondering today whether there were still any of these on the road - or even surviving as recognizable automobiles. The only people I knew who bought one hadn't driven it a week before a wing mirror and door handle fell off.
Better now than at the height of your summer season. Our Air Con just died. All the blades on the fans in the outside unit flew off causing a hell of a racket. Service man says he has never seen anything like it. I don’t always enjoy being unique! I guess the Aussie sun degraded it over time. It went in during 2005, so nearly 20 years.
The Mrs insists that a new A/C is a requirement. So that is underway.
My sister had one. At least it had wings!
Yeah. KA seems to be the current goto for a lot of people. We ordered ours through Lowe’s on a 10% off deal. And the local subcontractor they have installing in our area is excellent. We did research after our almost 40 y/o JennAir cooktop died and got a KitchenAid to replace it. The GE microwave is aging out, but is part of an oven wall unit, and we’re told they only come as a set. (The oven works fine and is easy to work on). I’d as soon get a countertop microwave but Sharon’s thinking replacement. If we do, I’m leaning hard toward KitchenAid.
Rabbits, Omnis, Yugos, Chevettes, Fiestas, the first Hyundais….all ugly IMO.I just watched a YouTube vid about "ugly cars" and the Ugo was one. I briefly owned a a Ford Fiesta front wheel drive econobox - speedometer went to 80mph, but it had wings. Also owned a Cabriolet convertible - it was a great car. Never minded the way it looked.Rabbits, Omnis, Yugos, Chevettes, Fiestas, the first Hyundais….all ugly IMO.
I don't remember what our washer and dryer are. Both are front load. LG maybe? I don't remember and haven't thought about it for at least five years. Probably longer than that. The 'fridge is Fisher and Paykel. So is our oven. I think they were made in New Zealand. They look the part and fit our kitchen perfectly. Their functionality is a little less than ideal. The oven is supposed to be self-cleaning, but it burns itself out if we use the self-clean thing. So we don't. The 'fridge has a bottom freezer and then cold air is ducted up to the refrigerator part. The duct ices up and stops it from cooling. Then we have to defrost. It ices up about every four to six months.top loader…..everything btd at once, lost our AC the weekend of the 4th (of course) and just replaced, not cheap….dryer decided to follow suit so Helene paid for the repair (element) and took the set (Maytag from the 90’s) which we replaced with the Samsung…..to think Samsung was an economy appliance brand when I used to do hifi repair in London in the late 80’s….
Weirdest Kenmore I've ever seen. But looks fantastic!Love my '90s Kenmore appliances, they're very sturdy, simple, and have easily lasted 3 decades. The fridge hasn't ever needed anything except replacement of the water filter, the washer and dryer no problems ever, no crappy boards to replace!

Looks original - very amber'd trans-creme white as most were until the later '50s. Are the pots/electronics original? Haven't seen square pots like that and interesting it has a resistor. Do you have a more descriptive pic of the harness?@JIO and anyone who wants to offer thoughts.
This is from my '55 Pbass. I always thought it was refinished, and still heavily lean that way. But the neck pocket doesn't confirm one way or the other to me. (But the paint on the edge of the shim still makes be think there was a refin at some point.) I know the neck, or just the headstock seems to have had something done to it as the decal was wrong when I got it '81(?). It's correct now. Anyway, I was looking over pics the other day and am not as sure it was refinished as I was. Still think it likely, just not a 100 convinced as before. Not that it really matters. Since the Ashdown it sounds fantastic and isn't going anywhere.

Mostly just the more practical four-door version. It's called the Wego.
Thanks. Even the paint on the edge of the shim seems OK?Looks original - very amber'd trans-creme white as most were until the later '50s. Are the pots/electronics original? Haven't seen square pots like that and interesting it has a resistor. Do you have a more descriptive pic of the harness?
