Thunderbird Club

I'll have to think on that! I wasn't planning a return to Hollister until 2025, however, that could change :)

Some Mod Shop fun today, Gibson loves your clear PG idea!

If that was a reverse, the wheels in my head would be spinning. But it is a NR, so they are fairly quiet. WHEW!

Finally joined the T-Bird club!!!! Got this one cuz Chris Squire had one! Now debating whether to make it “Vintage Accurate” and swap the tone knob and output jack and swap bridges or keep it rockin as is! Por que no los dos?

You would have to get another one to have it both ways, but we are here to enable. Congratulations on joining us! When a Thunderbird chooses you, you are a Thunderbird person. That's pretty much all there is to know.

Yep. There was someone in the Facebook group contemplating “upgrading” the tapped DeColas in his ‘15 to a set of EMGs. It’s his bass. But what a travesty that’ll be for that Thunderbird if he does it.
It would mean somebody like you or Irv could snag the DeColas. So there's that.

I agree that would be a mistake to "upgrade" the pickups. Maybe mention to him that you will buy the pickups if he wants to flip them.

We are here to enable. It's a bit of a hike for me to get to where it is, but...

Beats me when I could do that, but for the right incentive (like a club member wanting that bass), I would find time somehow.
I'm not in the market since I already have one, but someone should snag it!

I'll gladly take a number!!! The only thing keeping me from swapping things as well is that I typically use angled cables so I wonder it that would then get in the way of the tone knob.
I’ve not seen it be a problem either way. I prefer the way yours is wired on the NR, as that shape is both very asymmetrical and meant to differ from the original. But we fully support what works for you!

@TBird1958
like you, I like the pup low… haven’t touched it….

Yup, it's cranked down on mine, haven't touched it either, don't plan on it anytime soon. Mine's going to the Halloween show 10/26, so it'll have gotten out twice this year, w00t!
