Looks like the Queens black Studio bird. Supposedly very nice sounding Tbirds but relatively heavy. One for sale right now on the webs at a decent price.
Are you referring to the ‘05 listed on the Bay and Reverb at $1599? Including the case plus $90 for shipping? They sound willing to negotiate. 8 1/2 pounds which ain’t bad. I find myself playing mine quite a bit and it doesn’t feel heavy to me. They’re nice Thunderbirds. A bit different with a set neck, flat front, Corian nut, regular high mass type bridge, the skinny headstock, and the chrome Grovers. I like the tone from that era TBird plus pickups. Someone here should get it if they can come to the $1200-$1300 range or thereabouts.

For comparison, I got my Ebony ‘05 (thanks to Dave’s assistance) for 1K with the case. Mine has a non-stock BadAss II bridge which took some effort to get dialed in. And the finish was really soft with a hint of mildew because it sat in the case for way too long. The finish hardened up after letting it set out for a couple months and it polished up to look really nice.

They’re nice Thunderbirds. Highly recommended.

It's a Cherry Studio, actually was the first time I've taken it out of the house to a show, it's a nice sounding bass - TB Plus pickups can sound really good sometimes, as you know! The shot is from Quil Ceda Casino in Marysville, we bring a 3 hour video of images that slowly morph when we play there, it
never hurts to put on a show that ties in with the music.

I had forgotten the Studio. That explains why it looks red. It is red. I'm sticking with the big star part, though.

I think "Local Boob" has a nice ring to it :woot:

honored, :)….when are you planning to meet the 64?…

I'll have to think on that! I wasn't planning a return to Hollister until 2025, however, that could change :)

Some Mod Shop fun today, Gibson loves your clear PG idea!

Finally joined the T-Bird club!!!! Got this one cuz Chris Squire had one! Now debating whether to make it “Vintage Accurate” and swap the tone knob and output jack and swap bridges or keep it rockin as is!
