It’s a funny thing, being in a LHD country a week ago, glance at an approaching car and do a double take. The driver is looking down denting a text or something!
Drove a Fiat 600 into a drainage ditch in Barbados trying to avoid a sugar cane truck. Thought the grass was the shoulder, turned out the grass was 3’ tall and I only saw the top 6”. Dang RHD. Did better with the Commodore in Brisbane. It’s a funny thing, being in a LHD country a week ago, glance at an approaching car and do a double take. Then a millisecond later, nah, that’s the passenger. Phew!
The ACC is one thing. But the baby grand down there still has me scratching my head.Questionable given his basement.
Good to hear you plan on keeping it.Thanks, it's pretty far from perfect! I basically replaced the bottom 10" of sheet metal all around. One of my nephews is a bodyman, and he prepped it for paint, so the panels are nice and straight at least![]()
I'll probably be tweaking it the rest of my life.
I rented an Austin Metro for a few weeks a long time ago and drove it all over England, Scotland, and Wales. It took a couple days to adjust to right hand drive and shifting with the left hand. I took the train to Cambridge and rented it there so I didn’t have to figure out how to drive out of London. It was a fun little hatchback. The back seat folded down and there was just enough room to be be able to sleep in it. Sort of. Good times!Drove a Fiat 600 into a drainage ditch in Barbados trying to avoid a sugar cane truck. Well, time may be running out on that one.And then do it again when you have grandkids.
I've got Gibson re-issues in it, but I'm planning go back to the original pickups to compare. They have Alnico magnets in them, and sound pretty good.Does your Orville have the original pickups?

Do they look like these?
These fit Scott's description quite well "Like flogging dead meat".
