No, they have metal plates on the bottom.
And the magnets are shiny blades inside the coils.

They are 17mm (a little over 5/8")Are they fairly thin as well, Irv?
I thought TB+ all had ceramic magnets. Those look exactly like the TB+ from a 1991 Gibson, at least from the outside. I'd bet they're also the same on the inside. I currently have Will's old ones in my RNR. They sound pretty good to me. Maybe slightly brighter than 2013 TB+.

But that would make sense as my Orville is a 91. It has a G serial# which is supposed indicate Gibson pickups.
From what I have read, ceramic magnets are always black and alnico look like metal. My picture doesn't really show it, but the magnets are shiny metal.Yeah, me too. Is there no way the magnet could be ceramic, being where it is inside the pickup?

Do those 91 Gibson pickups have a metal bottom plate?
Cool. It wasn't open and we just drove near what we could to see a few things. Had no idea what we were looking at.Santa Fe CF-7, Louisville and Nashville E unit and a very rare Monon BL-2!

It looks like Fiesta Red - what did AMC cal that colour?
I rented an Austin Metro for a few weeks a long time ago and drove it all over England, Scotland, and Wales. It took a couple days to adjust to right hand drive and shifting with the left hand. I took the train to Cambridge and rented it there so I didn’t have to figure out how to drive out of London. It was a fun little hatchback. The back seat folded down and there was just enough room to be be able to sleep in it. Sort of. Good times!
have to read the WARNING label...They do that if you aren’t careful.
