Thunderbird Club

I suppose Seattle being a big football town, there probably are some big fellows up there.
I have seen professional football players up close. These two guys would dwarf them. They weren't fat guys, either. I'm amazed they fit through a doorway. One of them must have been seven feet tall and about four feet wide, all muscle. The other one wasn't quite that big, but close enough. The "little" guy was the brains of the operation. The bigger one looked like the Russian boxer from Rocky. I don't think he said a word the whole time. Fortunately, they were also really nice guys.

I’d rather be waiting for a flight then sitting in a DMV office.
I don't remember the last time I had to sit in a DMV office. I have to fly for work fairly regularly. Given the frequency, I rank airports below the DMV. I suppose if I had to actually visit the DMV any more, my opinion might be different.

Work travel isn't my favorite pastime. Airports are where time goes to die.
not at this one……Austinites got it right…. least they could do for their guests, proclaiming themselves “Musical Capital of the USA”……

I stand corrected. It's great to see that Asleep at the Wheel is still alive and kicking. The Austin airport is pretty amusing with the giant guitars on the baggage carousels. There's a bronze statue of Willie Nelson downtown somewhere. I wonder what Willie Nelson thinks of being memorialized in bronze in an area surrounded by corporate office buildings.

@MCF you asked about the Peavey humbucker mode. I did a test holding the bass close to the B-15 head. Center blend detent has no hum. The further away from center in either direction and you get increasing amounts of hum.
Well it sounds like it is working and the rewire did not effect the humbucking mode.

One thing that was working well here was the DMV appointment system. Not many knew how to use it. But if you did, you pretty much walked in at the appointed time right passed all those people who were walk-ins. Unfortunately, they closed or limited the open hours at a bunch of offices effective 08/01 so it’s back to being a mess.

Baseball or football?

Either!

I remember riding the Light Rail home after a Seahawks loss and heard a voice in the crowd saying " See how easy it is for us to slip back into mediocrity".
The Mariners are going to want another new stadium and still won't have won the Series..............

The name may be the same, but founding member Benson is supposedly the only one left. He obviously wasn’t there for that day. Per Wiki, the longest tenured current member joined in 2014. They have a list of former members that may set some kind of record.

I know I saw them once. I think it was at Disneyland in the eighties. And it wasn’t on purpose.

Woh! They've gone through a lot of changes over the years!

The football teams, both Seahawks and Huskies, have actually been pretty good and won championships. The Mariners? Well... They are the Cubs without the goat, the Mets without Casey Stengel. Losers without the charm. I root for them every season, and they turn my support into pigeon feed every season. Jeez, what a fool. Me that is.

Recent Peter Frampton concert. Bass solo at 1:59 and some change. Really nice. Not flashy, but funky and groovy. Didn't look up who she was. (Nice Ashdown she had.) Sad that he's getting in poor health and can't stand. Still puts on a better concert than many who can still prance and dance. (Side note: His instrumental work is fantastic.)

My first year run Eppi VP with ProBuckers has a smooth round but not deep bottom end, lots of very aggressive mids and high mids and a present but not overly crisp top end.
This sounds like my Epi VP. I actually think it makes a nice P-bass-with-flats tone, but a bit too mid-focussed with rounds. I may upgrade it anytime and unleash it by using Roto 66 rounds. Then I need to find a new P bass to put flats on...
