When I was young, I foolishly didn't keep up my M/C license. I rode a borrowed bike for a few months and bought a bike before realizing I'd done that. I rode my new bike for a month, then went to get the M/C endorsement.
The driving test was in a parking lot full of cones. The course was pretty basic with left and right turns, a stop, a surprise turn (cop waved you one way or the other from the middle of the lane - brave of them), a zig zag through a half dozen cones, and a parking space at the end (I don't recall if you had to parallel park or if it was a pull-in). There was a speed limit throughout (15mph?)The course had to be completed between a minimum and maximum time. Too fast or too slow, you failed even if everything else was perfect.
The poor 15 y/o ahead of me going for his learners license was in his mom's huge boat of a Cadillac. He came to a complete stop in each segment of the zig zag. The testing officer had his failure ready to hand him by the time he was half way done, and verbally reinforced what the problem areas were. The dozen or so others I'd watched while waiting were mediocre at best, which isn't really surprising. I was careful not to accelerate too hard and to observe the speed limit, and whizzed through the course very close to the minimum time. The testing officer had my pass ready as I pulled up to the finish line, and wore a big grin.
The couple of times I had goat, it was greasy and stringy.
not at all Donnie, I was just as surprised too but as @Gaolee puts it, maybe some got a pin, others didn’t, who knows…
Greetings. I’ve got my first Thunderbird, an Epiphone Classic Pro, and I love it. I typically use GHS Bass Boomers on my other basses. What strings go well with a Thunder bird? Would you ever put flats on one?
If you just swallow them whole, how do you know if they're good?and they were G O O D….
