We had sun and 75 yesterday and it should get nice later today. Autumn in Seattle doesn't get any attention, but it's fantastic when you get a nice day.

I was out shooting model pics last Thursday morning, Perry Como blue skies!

Yes seriously. FTR - these early '80s MIJ Squier's are very well made (way better than '70s CBS Fenders that are getting over that price currently) and have been garnishing high prices for a while. Late CBS/Fender's early '80s ('82 to be exact at the Fujigen workshop) basses/guitars were only made in Japan then through the transition back to Fender employees in '85. Not crazy if you know what you are dealing with considering vintage prices across the board. At that time and to this day - Japan produces some of the most high quality instruments ever made.
I have a 1985 or so Squire Bullet guitar. It looks like the illegitimate child of a Les Paul, Strat, Tele, and ES175. It weighs a ton and sustains forever. The neck is great. It was in pieces in bags when I got it, and the electronics were awful. It now has different pickups and pots. And a rattle can paint job because I don't much care for black instruments. But I sure would buy a Squire of that era, especially for the neck.

There was a big crash in the express lanes this morning that involved a bunch of cars and SUVs and a semi with a container on it. It's a reason to think a little about riding motorcycles all the time. Just a little. It was a passing thought that got dismissed. People forget that the road surface is really slippery after the first rain in a while because all the oil gets pushed to the surface. After a lot of rain, it's fine because the surface gets washed off.

I love riding the Sounder, especially when we're making 79 mph and the traffic on I-5 is at a standstill on a rainy day.

My kind of General Motors vehicle.
