Glad it over. Kind of gives some gravitas to the term eyeballing it for level. If you can replace a Transit you may be onto something big--for a while!

My mother has macular degeneration in both eyes and has to get a shot in each eye about once a month. I dread it for her.
Yeah you kinda suddenly realize how much you take sight for granted. The Earthmen's front lady has gotten a series of shots in her eye for a similar reason. She gets wobbly, instead of straight lines, probably worse than mine, just for different reasons.

The transit level idea is pretty funny...

Next door neighbors got married. They're Mexican. 10 hours of good Mariachi music, at least a 6-pack of Modelo Especial and a double shot of Resposado. Not to mention the carne asada, pollo, and al pastor. Tomorrow, they throw a follow-on feast of crispy lamb. If I'm alive tomorrow, I might remember to post a video of the band. Buenas noches. :dead:

My Hispanic neighbors had a similar two day around the clock party in the back yard for a wedding. They were having a great time.
I asked late on Sunday afternoon how long the celebration would last. He said when the money runs out. :)

Can someone post Thunderbird DI clips to compare (pick sound is preferred)?
Only finger style and not from the best of players, but here is a whole bunch of different T-birds (and other basses) mic'd and DI. These were done mostly as experiments with sound (bass, strings, amp, cab, DI...).

Hello since can't remember when. I just put out a preview of my next release or what I've been thinking it would be. Instrumental soundtrackish cinematic ambient stuff. Not that different from what I do anyway but it's a plan.
And it does have a T-Bird! Not very prominent in the mix or doing much but it's there.

 Kinda spooky/Halloween-y.

Where's the guitarron?
I asked the same question. They told me to go get a bass from my house (literally just over that fence). That would have ruined the evening :rollno:The three guitars were tuned about an octave apart. The right sounded like a mandolin, the center more traditional, and the left was almost a bass.

Yeah, I thought I heard some lower notes-might've been tuned like a cello. Cool.

Phfancied up Phoenix!
Made the aluminum pickguard
Added the "engine turned" fish-scales freehand
Nickle chromed covers for the ESP pickups
Hipshot adjusters in a Gravity bridge
Brass roller nut under the flatwound strings
Thinking about converting it it to a narrow 5 string.
Anybody got a line on a Gravity 5 string bridge?
Or do you think a Badass V would be a good fit?
That really came out nice!

years ago, we camped next to a big hispanic gathering (they paid for three sites) and they would laugh at us when they walked by our site and saw two measly burgers on a little grill as they were roasting a WHOLE hog……eventually they took pity on us and invited us over lol….

so it wasn’t really mariachi….

I think so, yes. It only hurt when they were deadening the nerve before digging in. After that, fine. I've got an air bubble in my left eye now that's slowly being replaced with liquid. It's weirding out my depth perception and peripheral vision, also it's a little like having a spirit level in my eye, lol. I should probably take a dip in the pond and see if I come to the surface any quicker than usual. 😁
Thanks for asking.
Glad it hear it went well and hope you have a speedy recovery

love thi
