Thunderbird Club

It was at least 88F this afternoon, but getting all the way down to 72 tonight! At the end of October. Warm even for CenTex.
Came up after dinner because the bear damage repairs begin tomorrow. I’m freezing my cajones off.

Today finally felt like October in the Bay Area. (low 60's) It seems like it's been hotter & warmer forlonger everywhere in the US.

Yeah. But Paul and George Martin touched it. Some idiot will buy it. Even though a decent Mac can do the same job.
I think it's in the historical artifact category... maybe a museum will step up. There's the “MIM” (Musical Instrument Museum) in the PHX area that I'm told is pretty extensive. I want to visit it, maybe over the winter.

Didn’t Dave Grohl buy a historic mixing desk and set it up in a studio somewhere? I remember watching a docco some time ago.
I watched that also. Love when those who have "made it" give back to their community as guardians to preserve history and their connection to music.

I mention long ago there is a sound guy here in town that had a small studio. He bought a Console from Abby Road years and years ago. Said he might of paid “too much” for it but I figured he could make the money back because there would be plenty of people wanting to record with it because they thought there was magic in it. He was right. There were a number of big names that wanted to use it. I remember seeing it once while there. I know he didn't pay a million+ for it. He likely has sold it by now.

Some those name analog boards you just can’t beat.
Good to see that they are in use.
The digital world is ok, does a good job of it.
But can’t match the real thing.
Agree. I suspect there's something about analog that aligns more closely with the way we hear and our brains work than digital. Would be a good dissertation for somebody who was so inclined.

After being down the string rabbit hole for so long.
I think I’ve finally found my flat.
I wish I would have known about these strings sooner.
SS with a hex core.
@GonePlaid, you might like these a lot.

Compared to EBCF or SIT Power Flats? What are you hearing?
