I love the MIJ fenders! This one caught my eye as well:

Yeah, it's been kind of a crappy half year, I was out but I guess the operation went ok, they reamed my sinuses out, not feeling so good just now.
That's typical. In a few days you will (hopefully), begin to start feeling better. In a few weeks you'll want another Thunderbird for your pain and suffering.

Yeah. It’s not fun. But the infection will be gone and you’ll feel better than you have in a long time. Not having the sinus headaches will be a big relief.

I have a good female (musician) friend who goes by Wiggy. :) I actually like my Ashdown Spyder a lot. My Mesa M2000 (to me) is ultra complex - essentially two amps in one (tube & FET) with multiple shaping controls. The Ashdown is pretty simple/straightforward - very easy to dial the sound you want w/o excessive fussing. FTR, the stock pic I posted isn't mine - I would never set it like that. Usually set middle/bass/treble flat with mid-shift off / bass-shift on / bright on and gain/master set to the room. The Spyder is a twin-tube pre so it has the warmth of a tube amp w/550w SS to deliver it. I love my Ashdown 30w all tube"Little Bastard" (its cousin) but it's better suited for a more intimate situation like recording or at home.
how come you didn't take the Little Bastard to the recording studio?

I know people need to be careful with pain meds, but don't let yourself hurt needlessly. But it always good to have a few left over for other pain issues if needed.

They do take the pain away, I'm not having any this morning. They otherwise don't do a thing for me, no buzz, no nothing.
