To Chucky that’s nothing ;), but to us it’s a solid stretch of BG shows, the majority at a high profile SF club. Cherie’s feeling a little daunting about it but I’m like - yah baby! Let’s do this! Looks like a good way to end 2024 and a great start into 2025 for BG.

He only knows work and sleep. If he's not herding cattle, he'll wear your arm out playing fetch. When you stop, he thinks his work is done for the day and hits the sack. That look was "why are you bugging me?" They are great dogs with a perfect demeanor...just give them something to do.

No, no wonky/squeal etc, I keep my pedal train is good working order and dialed volume-wise - especially live. Everything I incorporate is specifically utilized and more subtle than pronounced. Ask Dave - he saw/heard BG. It's less that you hear me (my effect) but you hear how it blends with/enhances the song. I think Phil said it w/o thinking as people sometimes do. I told him I would never suggest him adding or subtracting to his kit and to please refrain from such comments about my use of pedals. He got it - no problem.

The effects are subtle and you wouldn't notice if you didn't know what to listen for. It is just an overall solid bass tone that cuts through the mix without standing out of the mix. We didn't even notice his bass was out of tune... ;)

I was talking w/Paul about the EH Synth9 pedal I recently bought that I got for a new song he wrote that we are developing. It has a lot of wild synth effects I will never use, but it has one that is exactly what I was after. I got it for a very good price and it is essentially brand new - adaptor, box & all. It will basically replace a POG pedal (same footprint) that I use only for a Bond Girl song (Buena) when rehearsing/playing w/TSC. Paul joked "a pedal for each song" and that's when Phil piped in. I got that Paul wasn't criticizing me so just laughed.

I just sold a vintage RAT pedal a contractor friend found in a basement of a house he was working on years ago. No one there wanted it so he gave it to me. I never had a use for it and had it stored in a box. I recently took it out and did some research on it. It was an '85 "White Face" RAT and I learned it was the RAT pedal most sought after (by guitarists I assume). In fact, Proco did a more recent Anniversary White Face RI and those sell for more than you'd think. Anyway, I sold it within a couple days on eBay for $350! (new ones sell for around $65) I think the new owner felt like he got a good deal. He's happy - I'm happy!

There's levels of what one will accept from people we work with. This was pretty minor and now that I've made clear where I'm coming from it's not going to be an issue again. Joking on the other hand is always fun, and harmless band ribbing is pretty normal as you know. :)

4 setter last night went well, went back and forth between the P and Bird highlighting the differences in a live setting in real time (amp settings untouched) and boy, the design philosophy differences are astonishing.....what's even more interesting is they both work well...tone wise the sidewinder spanks the split coil.....the P is more compact and you can't throw it around the way you can with the lower slung Bird....neckwise the Bird shatters the P....balance wise the P shatters the Bird....better in the confined space as well as one is not as cautious about banging the neck into a light fixture or whatever.....hard to believe that with the overall length difference both feature a 34" scale...with this lineup, I basically use the P for fingerstyle and the Bird with a pick........needless a to say, looks/attention wise the Bird SHATTERS the P.....
always fun playing in (ex)military type settings where you can talk with VFWs and other vets....
