Thunderbird Club

We had a DJB recording session last night to get the last piece for our EP tracked.
I used my 2017 VP with Cobalt flats > D800+ > board. No cab as we were tracking together on headphones.
It's amazing how good those strings sound. They've been on the bass for at least 5 years:laugh:
They don't really seem to age!

Free on Bezos Prime. Currently anyway.

I saw a Thunderbird in the back of a Holden, so it's good for this very specified thread.
Scratch that. It's $3.99. When I looked it up it was taking off my digital discounts I used for Kindle books. I found this when I went to watch it.

That's Joe West's old bass! I remember him putting it together and painting it, what a beauty!
Not sure that is Joe's old bass or not because the paint looks pretty rough. Joe sold his to another Joe that beat the finish up pretty good before he sold it. Maybe this is the "Joe's" bass with a refinish to cover up what Joe did to it. I hope that clears things up.

Sorta. Maybe we need to discuss it over a cup of joe.

Never liked EVH. Yeah, he could shred. But way too much show. It got old real quick.
Yeah, for me, after a while many of his solos kind of sounded the same. Not taking away from him being a great player. The words of PillO with respect to another band seem true here in that VH kept making the same album over and over. Kind of. Probably true for a lot of people, just more true of some more than others.

Yeah, after the first couple of albums, I mostly lost interest. Great musicians but too much ego flying around and they needed songwriting help. At least from my perspective.

That picture was one that Joe took, so it may be in worse shape actually. It was one of the original run of white ones.

We already know AMC was multiple colors all at once.

Funny I don’t mind Neil making the same album over and over. New album out.
