No idea on the resistance. Since only one pickup, I should be able to test at the jack. I have Power Steel on the ‘15, CS LE, and ‘64.
I'm sorry to say this, and didn't want to be the one to point out there's something funny here. I'm not sure it's as described. The give away is the pickguard. It's not chipped or cracked. We all know all old Thunderbirds don't have perfect pickguards.

I know a handful of attorneys relatively well, served with one on project I lead, another did some work for the church and reviewed some merger matters I facilitated, two are friends, one being you and another for close to 35 years. Everyone is nothing but first class. There are plenty of great attorneys, but like my profession it's the crazies who get all the attention and those not self-serving are hardly known outside their circles.
You missed it. Cracked at the top tip and bottom screw hole. Did you remove it? It appears to be attached to the bridge with copper rivets.

They both fully fill the padding. Thickness, belly cut, neck, headstock are different. So, just the same two dimensional body top view.
the '12 NR case fits the 60's snuggly but they couldn't be further apart as Donnie can probably confirm....
Very kind of you Chuck, but I don't mind buying something--good. Just don't want to overbuy for my needs. Thanks for the recommendation. Is there a min temp and wattage to keep in mind? I'll check this one out. Bad thing is my Dad had a Weller gun, but I can't find it anywhere. Might need to dig through some stuff that was put away when he passed and we moved. But I don't recall seeing in since we moved here.

anything between 25 and 35 Watt will work for the wiring, 100 Watt ideal for the cans or grounding to the pots and that sorta thing....you can use the 100 Watter for the wiring as well but you gotta be quick (stuff melts) which becomes cumbersome when you gotta hold a pistol like trigger....you can do the work with one but it really is a two iron job imho...
