Thunderbird Club

Yeah the EQ got handled in moving it around, I took the pic after I'd put the rig back in its place.
I used the deep and bright switches at rehearsal the night before, things I'd normally leave alone. Different approach with this amp- it's a toolbox.
Also the High Pass filter can yield some interesting EQ when used with the Bass knob... Really cool amp, super versatile!
And loud as anything... 😃 you should hear the CP through it. 😀😀😀
Thanks Marshall, very happy with this little machine.
This roof will totally handle A Reverie too. Unloading a few things pretty soon.
Tool box is a good way to put it. With the HPF and 2 Ohms capability, you can even use cabs that normally couldn’t be used without frying them. You still need to use common sense though. If you read through the TT thread, you see some gave up on it pretty quick because they didn’t want to take time to get familiar with it. Which I get.

That thing running the Subway 410 at 4Ohms is monstrously loud.

Dual design pins on everything.
Just saw these on the Hipshot page:

Doesn’t match the plates and they are tight together. I tried them and they don’t work right. Plus I don’t want to mod the vintage basses. The only bass I modded for tuners was the Epiphone VP, and it’s minor, and out of sight with the Hipshot in place.

A different flavor of Tbird (Jupiter Thunderbird) I built a few years back:
Y’all might like seeing anyway.

Super Tangerine Glass glitter drum wrap, matched headstock.
Maple neck dyed to match.
Mahogany chambered body, alder cap.
Vintage DeArmond Gold Tone buckers.
Xentric Glitter acrylic knobs.
faux gold glitter binding.

And a couple snaps of my beloved 4003W
2 were me filling Cliff’s shoes in Trauma at Cliff Burton day 2025.

Ok, now I see how this works - for every 3 Hummel figurines your wife gets, you get one bass. Sounds fair.
Her and the girls had a 40 year head start...she better start selling them because when we are taking a dirt nap the shrink is either ordering a 20 yard dumpster or lighting a match. My bet is 🔥

Word. Canadian Dingwalls are crazy expensive! I got my used D-Bird standard (the Chinese import model) for $1600 on Craigslist...which is coincidentally the exact same price I paid for my 2018 Thunderbird, which I also found on CL.
You all who have a functional Craigslist are lucky. In Utah and surrounding states it hasn't thrived, people use KSL Classifieds. Plus people are really cheap here. Give them a great price, they want to pay way less, plus get gas money, lunch money, and allowance for their time. I'm only kind of kidding!

For anyone in the SF Bay Area, this is a great price on a great cabinet:

This is a reasonably compact cabinet and not necessarily heavy at all, and they sound really good. I just got my V4B and same cabinet from the same guy. I’m sure he will probably accept a $350 offer.
