I honestly don't know, but I want to know.

Depression & anxiety issues plagued my mother for most of her life, so I come by it honestly. I've been riding' that snake for more years than I can remember. Making music again, has done more for me than any pill or doctor ever could!

I've said it before & I'll say it again... the people in this forum... man... you guys are the BEST!!! I may have to go get a 'bird on principal alone!

Seriously. Just do it. If you can swing a 2015 with the EB coil taps, and Babicz bridge, factory pleck, you will have found a keeper. And I'm pretty confident you'll never see it for less than you can get one for now. But pretty much any earlier Bird is great. And look at Epis. The Classic IV is damn close to to what you get with a Gibby pre 2015.

Thanks for the info... but what I'm wondering is... the "thickness" of the neck. Like... if you place your index finger in the fretboard, and your thumb on the back of the neck... what's the distance between your finger & thumb. Does that make any sense?

Ooooohhhhh I will say I played the thunderbird with the bolt on neck and that one was pretty thick but the neck-thru thunderbird has a thinner neck akin to Fender instruments, but it us glossy finished and lightning quick

I remember the LP Recording bass and guitar were not well thought of at the time.

Ooooohhhhh I will say I played the thunderbird with the bolt on neck and that one was pretty thick but the neck-thru thunderbird has a thinner neck akin to Fender instruments, but it us glossy finished and lightning quick

It depends on the model/year made/where made - some bolt-on T-bird necks are fat but others are slim and fast, like a neck-thru.

I agree Prog, I know the known weight issue. But I love how they sound.
