Very similar to any other recent neck thru 'Bird. Gibson or Epi - take your pick. Those have a preamp.
@TBird1958... do you have a resource for finding out the neck specs on an NR Thunderbird? Right now, the web seems to be about as useful as a quadriplegic swimmer...

I dont have to explain unless Im questioned but Im kind of running out of excuses. Truth is I dont really "need" but GAS is a son of a gun.So glad I don't have to explain to anyone.
It's a nice position to be in but I still like to be able to answer the question of "why" to myself. That and the 3 day rule helps to keep my spending in check a little bit. Otherwise, I'd be covered up in basses, guitars, amps, and motorcycles.So glad I don't have to explain to anyone.

Thanks! That is my design. I used a Carvin Jazz sized neck with a paddle headstock. Had a luthier do the cutting/paint/finish work and it turned out great!
