Thunderbird Club

I don't get it, I love bridge pickups. But a good old angry p bass grind is good too.

But my birds aren't "real", just the epi+ bolt on pickups. I actually like the bridge more if I am going to use just one, it is a tad " ray" ish. Sometimes I use the neck only, but most of the time it is either bridge full neck 8, vice versa, or both up for the scoop.

I could see just using the neck, but not for the band I use them in.

I should add that my main #1 for many years was a jazz, and it applies to the foundation I got last year big time, gotta have that bridge pickup in the mix.
Your 'Bird is just as real as any other 'Bird.

The cherry is not pictured and I didn't see a listing for it. Portent or omission? @TBird1958 - what is the status or your order?

I posted my Sweetwater invoice (with a legit item number for the Cherry finish) sometime within the last 10 days or so - I'm not overly concerned about the finish, if, for some reason cherry isn't available white will work fine.

His unique tone is a result of miking doors.

Shhhhhhhhh it's a secret! The Hiwatt 2150 cab has a open baffle in the back, placed correct distance from the stage back wall the mic-ed back door (preferably mahogany but even metal will do) picks up the reflected sound from the door and it is feed into my blended mix, the result is massive! I read this in old Guitar Player magazine eons ago interviewing Entwistle.

Did someone mention these? The link still works for me. Is that nickel?

That was quite a day backstage for the R40 tour. Geddy's white NR sadly didn't need a Badbird as it inonates just fine ( I believe that it is a refin and the bridge was moved ) Geddy bought 8 Badbirds I think.
Did you ask him why he used so many different brands of Basses on that tour?. I kinda get the idea that the end of his run was in sight and probably figured he spent all of his career playing a P bass, J bass and a Ric and figured what the hell might as well explore for once.

From what I gather he wanted to document his bass journey.
