Both times I was there, we came into Montmarte from beside the church. It was artist booths for quite a ways. I guess we just didn't go far enough in the right direction.
According to my redneck buddy from Georgia, he asked his future wife what was the biggest issue growing up in a large Hong Kong family…"a fish only has two eyes."
Yes, really good band. Dave Gleeson (singer) took over from the late Doc Neeson in The Angels* but The Screaming Jets resurface every so often - I'm not sure they have recently though.
Also, the urban whisper was that DG provided the Brian Johnson-esq vocals for this Holden Ute "Thunderstruck" ad. This ad got a lot of attention when new, you could feel your pulse rising.

I'm glad the purple sparkle bird got here before June. It's become my designated player outer during Pride month. I just wish I had more opportunities to play out with it! Ah, well. Some day when I catch up with Marshall and some of you others in terms of available time...

Oui! Basilique du Sacre'-Coeur de Montmarte. You got go! Wander all around that old church, including on the little walkways up above where you can get up close to the gargoyles. They're a trip. I need to spend a few months or years there.This one, yes?

I went through Sacré Coeur last Sept. While I was wandering around they started a Mass, so I stayed for it. Magnificent.
I had a couple of Guinness' in the Irish Pub across the road after, found I was sitting just across from another Aussie from Sydney so we had a chat for a little while. I needed the beers before heading back down that hill and to the Metro station. Had lunch at Cafe Bimbo (couldn't resist lol) on the walk to the Metro.

One of the times I was there, more than 50 youth from all over were sitting on those steps singing a Beatles song (Let it Be, IIRC). Paris really is a magical place. Even more than Tahiti.

I did on the way up. Standing atop those stairs looking back down the hill was a bit daunting.... so I had a Guinness and delayed the inevitable. lol
The metro station I used had about a gazillion stairs in it as well...
couple of long blocks of just (real) music stores with bars and bistros in between and at the corners.......sheer bliss....
