Warmoth used to offer a Tbird but had to stop making them. I have one and it is a nice quality body.

As Bubble's would say... or sing "Liquor and Wh*re's"
Trailer Park Boys reference. I'm at work and don't want to be youtubing this to get a link. I'll try to remember after work.
I didn't like the electronics either. My Pro IV became the fretless with Alumitones and no preamp. Mine has a narrow but round neck, unlike the usual 7ender road kill flattened neck. It has a rounder neck than the Ric I had as well. That is pretty typical of Thunderbird necks, with the exception of my 2015 which has a bit of a glad spot in the middle of the back of the neck. That was THREE pages ago ... even I'm having trouble keeping up.
Yeah, didn't like the active electronics but they're easy enough to remove. She's had new pickups, pots, knobs, tuners and bridge ... but she's still the same bass!
@Gaolee - Katbird arrived in Sydney this morning. No idea yet whether Customs are going to sting me before I'm allowed to have it.
I'll take Scotch.......Hookers.....![]()
What do we mean by "older"... 70's, 80's, 90's? Over the years, Epiphone has been kinda like a cat on a beach... they've made s#!t everywhere!Look for an older Korean made bolt on "Bird. Those are 1.75 at the nut and have a big, round profile typically. I have one for exactly that reason. The huge neck makes it fun to play.
No. The Alpine White is the sexy one to get ;-)
No, needs more tort!

Crap man... leave it off & let that sunburst shine through! (or you could get a clear one)
Pics?Just wound up with another T-Bird yesterday, absolutely love it. No neck dive either, it's great. Best Thunderbird I've owned.

^This. No pic...no 'bird! You cant just say, ya gotta show Dude!.
I totally agree, I hate pick guards as they take away from the natural beauty. I yank em off all my basses but the only reason I customized one for mine was to go with the Ric theme. Heres a pic before the pick guard.Crap man... leave it off & let that sunburst shine through! (or you could get a clear one)
