I had an Ashly PQX 572 rack mount para.
That got sold with all my other gear before I left for Germany.
Now I’m keeping things small and simple.
And the Empress is a stellar piece of kit.

A good start, but that barely scratches the surface of bass styles.

Exactly the reason I’ve got one of these coming.
Not only for tone shaping, but to battle any potential room problems.
Of course having a good cab to start with surely helps.

Those were the worst cars every built. I drove some of the last ones ever made when I was a taxi driver in NYC. The motor was woefully underpowered, they didn't turn, the brakes were made of balsa wood, and body and frame flex meant that they all had metal fatigue cracks around the windshield. Not that any of us treated them well. They would hit pretty high speeds if you had enough runway, and you could scare the crap out of a fare by combat driving one.
