This morning was a red Greco sort of morning with a bit of extra hair (Tumnus Deluxe) and/or medium depth flange (Polychrome), depending on the song.
Crowded House by the Highwomen turns out to br a great communion song, never mind a great song for life in general. At least for Sharon and me.

totally....if Fender knows how to do something, it's build a bass amp......in the past they just didn't have the ss power levels of interest to me....today, not really a fan of combos (limiting imho) but the tone from this setup was/is pretty hard to beat.....

Yeah I played through a Rumble 40 last week. It was loud enough for the situation and sounded great with both an active Fender PJ and my Ripper.
but I can't just run the head and the 15 standalone (what I mean by limiting)...is that your go-to live setup?..

Used the '21 NR today though the Ashdown and I think it was the best it ever sounded. Never did I want to adjust anything. One thing I changed was I but some Dean Markely Blue Steels on the NR. I was sounding really good with the SIT Powerwounds, but the DMs brought some extra punch. I used to use those decades ago and they still sound good to me, changes at DM and all. Great finger and pick tone.
Yes Sir. I liked them at home so much I made an offer on their NPS version and have them, just not installed yet. I believe that was more of what I used yrs ago. DMs were my go-to strings in the 80s.
That was the reason for buying it. Plenty of power and light. The Sunns are heavy and the B-15 not happy getting bounced around.
Still EBCFs here. I get a fantastic range of tones with just the neck pickup and the lower 30% range of the tone knob.
Yep, a longtime favorite. I still have some NOS sets in the package, both 45-105 and 50-105, with the blue silks. I have a pretty old set on my ‘72 P and another older set on my ‘70 J, and both sets have some zing left in them.
