My wife is from East London. It explains a lot.Scion of Trace Elliott, so is it English - That would explain it![]()
That can sound great. It should happen on purpose more often than it does. Thanks, Jeff! GK sounded great again. And fun when James' guitar completely cut out during Pharaohs and I had to just keep going, just bass and drums.
Funny you mention that. Martin Bisi, who recorded and mixed us, was at the show and told me after that he thought it sounded really good like that. That can sound great. It should happen on purpose more often than it does.
What are these clams of which you speak? I've never noticed any kind of crustaceans while playing.Normally I have two of everything (except pedalboard) in my signal chain when I play out. Yesterday I flew without a parachute (only one of everything) because I was tired and running slightly behind (which ended up not mattering). Naturally I had to debug a problem before rehearsal that I'm pretty sure comes down to a cable or right-angle adapter. Messing around with the pedalboard / guitar cable got the noise to stop. Things went flawlessly afterward. So while the extra stuff wasn't needed, I was a bit nervous.
Having a spare cable would have helped me be more sure of the actual problem. I'll debug here at home. But I'll also go back to taking two of everything for peace of mind.
All that said, I think it was some of my best playing. Almost no clams. The sea gulls were disappointed (or would have been if we had seagulls here).
You and Joe were so locked into each other, it was as if you guys just knew exactly what to do, without any effort or struggles.Funny you mention that. Martin Bisi, who recorded and mixed us, was at the show and told me after that he thought it sounded really good like that.
I worked in East London (Hackney) for two years.....gnarly....not all that bad really, great fish & chips and the Bass Center in Wapping.....I do remember having to say I was Canadian to avoid getting my arse kicked in a pub in Plumstead once...My wife is from East London. It explains a lot.
I've had some that size. What are these clams of which you speak? I've never noticed any kind of crustaceans while playing.
Except the occasional one of these.

I love it when a guitar drops out and you hear more of the bass tone.Funny you mention that. Martin Bisi, who recorded and mixed us, was at the show and told me after that he thought it sounded really good like that.
A good bass entry or re-entry can make a song even better. The bass entry, and then later re-entry after the drum solo, for Nilsson's "Jump Into the Fire" are bomb.I love it when a guitar drops out and you hear more of the bass tone.
Also having the bass drop out will often make it sound huge when it comes back in.
can make all the difference...bad to the boner...A good bass entry or re-entry can make a song even better. The bass entry, and then later re-entry after the drum solo, for Nilsson's "Jump Into the Fire" are bomb.

Frank Beard is one slick player...That was always in the rotation whileccruising when we were in high school.
He is. But Dusty was the king of groove.Frank Beard is one slick player...
unquestionably, his lines are splashy and feel great under the fingers..love covering their stuff....He is. But Dusty was the king of groove.
Well then, you're not imaging things or are crazy. Despite what your daughter thinks.Follow up: talked to our drummer. He’s feeling the same singer issues and drifting focus. So, not just me. I’ll talk to the guitarist that hosts the rehearsal space before others show up on Wednesday.
I for one think you're perfectly normal.
