Bass older than the '64 today. Bought some used La Bellas and loved it with the Ampeg (in run through), and the Ashdown. I'm falling in love with DTFs on some basses.

Funny thing, was playing the second song and my bass almost disappears but what little I can hear from FOH. I'm wondering what happen and looked over at the head and cab and noticed the percussionist got up and moved a little and put his hand on the corner of the ABM 500 and must have hit the volume. I didn't think about it until later, but thank heavens he didn't bump it up. It's barely on and if it moved a 1/4 inch it would have sounded like God came down in person.

I suspect you are onto something here. It would be interesting to talk to some of those former band members.

Apparently we have hot spot monitors coming and I was asked how I feel about going through the PA and using a monitor. I said I was happy to try. I’m the oldest member of team by at least 30 years but I have no problem hearing everyone playing. Weird.
I don’t have high expectations of this but we’ll see.
