It's sometimes difficult for me to hear the balance using my IEM's.

(OK, hearing aids)

And so begins(actually yesterday)my 80th year on the planet. I'm doing all I can to contain my excitement.

We didn’t need a veto system previously as we’d just discuss what fit and was within our skill set. Now, things are getting pushed in different directions, Beatles, America, Pink Floyd, Queen (right), Gilmore, The Cure, Jeff Beck (right)…no theme, just a hodgepodge.

Dump him. Tell him he just didn't fit in.
Or dissolve the band right in front of him..Call the original guys and start practice and auditions next week.

His last ten bands probably felt the same way.

You all had an initial blues rock vision with songs that you guys could comfortably learn, rehearse and perform. That was and is a great beginning plan. That doesn’t seem to be what the guy wants to do. I think the answer is pretty obvious.

Hmmm, maybe others are feeling the same. The band has a WhatsApp group and the singer wants to drop another song and sub in one we don’t know. One of the guitarists wrote he doesn’t want to throw out stuff we know. That should make my side convo easier to open.

it’s likely the other two guys are thinking the same thing.
