Thunderbird Club

Yeah... even the most cautious of us are going to have booboos. Normal wear & tear is expected, and that's the kinda "booboos" I love. My favorite "normal wear & tear", is when the finish get's worn through in the normal places of the most use (like where your forearm always rests, or where you always pick... that kinda stuff). Those are scars of pride, passion, and experience. That's why I don't like showing support for new "relic'd" or "road worn" instruments. It's like buying a lie. Same reason I'm not attracted to women who cake on makeup with a trowel.

Dings are okay, but stupid stuff like hitting my Gibson on the headstock the first time I played it made me pretty mad.

Don't let the Californicators fool you, Washington is the Best on the West Coast (she says, ducking!) :woot:

Talked to Gaolee once about it. Seems like Seattle is the nicest town in the US and would be comfortable for an Euro guy, but the weather is not for me. Also not having the Sonics anymore stinks.

Ok, I'm not yelling here....Just pay attention!

I just got off the phone with my Sweetwater Rep, the most current info the have regarding finishes is that only Alpine White and Ebony will be available at this point in time. NO CHERRY!

So, still on schedule, I'll keep you posted when my White one ships.

I got a minty off white rotary phone that I still use in my rec room, I dont like talking on the phone but when I do I only answer it, dialing out is irritating as hell. Remember how long that takes?.

Yeah, talking on the phone sux. Even worse is other people talking on the phone - you know the sort who regards 30 minutes on the train as 'dead time' and insists on filling it by loudly flapping their gums the entire time, ruining other people's thinking time. There's something particularly irritating about one-sided conversations.

Excellent choice, that white is a sexy beast!

It's really no different than anything else. To some people, golfing is stupid. "They're just walking around hitting a ball with a stick". To some people, car racing is stupid. "They're just driving around in circles". For me... the very idea of ever allowing myself to drop my bass... even a $150.00 entry level Ibanez... is completely unfathomable! I ALWAYS use good straps and strap locks. Hell... I cringe if I set it in the stand too hard! No case will EVER slam closed on my instrument. I am as careful as I have to be, to ensure that. NOTHING will EVER hit my neck! For me... the neck is the most important part of the instrument. It's an incredibly steep up-hill climb for me to find a neck that I'm comfortable with, and once I've found it... I will protect it with my life! I'm not saying you're wrong and I'm right. I'm just saying that our priorities are different. If there were a book of your life, and a book of mine... they would be different, and they would probably both be pretty good! That's what makes the world go 'round!
My P-bass has a nice thick headstock that is still in nice shape, its the beer fridge thats taking on damage.

What?! 150 Shades of Gray?

Seattle is a very cool city, but so is Portland, OR and San Francisco - Vancouver, BC has to be one the most beautiful as well.
There's so much to do here that I haven't missed the Sonics for a moment, besides we have the Seahawks and the Sounders. :)

Is it heartless to say Alpine White is the one I want anyway?

Being the delicate flower that I am, sports isn't on the top of my list - Hockey for Canadians, isn't that just about like oxygen for the rest of us :D

LOL! absolutely!. Hey but aint that awesome and a coincidence that the Queen of the prestigious Thunderbird Club resides in the same region?. If I was a fan I would have the Thunderbirds decal right on top of the one already located on the pick guard.
