Thunderbird Club

Hi! I'm sorry to just pop in to advertise my music but I have a new album coming out soon and I know here might be some interested so forgive me. Again.

Here's one track from it, the rest will follow soon.

Even 'though there's no bass guitar on that track I haven't abandoned my T-birds. I actually whipped the white one out quite recently on one gig that was more in the so-called "iskelmä" or "rautalanka" vein. @Mvf knows what I'm talking about...
Anyway, not the usual place to hear or see a T-bird but you gotta play rebel every now and then.

I’ll add that with that material, it is porous. I love the Music Nomad F1 fretboard oil. It darkens the rosewood to the color I prefer. But the nut will absorb it some and discolor if it gets on the nut. It doesn’t bother me at all. But if you want a pristine white nut, use something clear on the board. Or mask the nut. Or use a different material or go black if you swap the nut.
It is quite soft... I had to lightly file & polish the G slot-new string was hanging up in it, pinging but not tuning.

Better now. Luckily I've had to make a couple bass nuts and have decent files etc.

Cuts really easy. Light touch required.

I was surprised to see that the nut is under the clear on all sides except the top.

Listened the other day when you posted on FB. Great stuff! And no need to apologize here. Post away! The more the better.

And perhaps Nels.
Nels is in a unique class of his own. His depth of expression/experimentation is different than PM, rawer and coming from a more aggressive, frenetic source. (along with a similar beauty of playing as MM) PM's starting point was more (trad) jazz oriented, but he did do 'outside' stuff with avaunt guard jazz musician Ornette Coleman. (Song X - '86) I referenced/compared him to MM as experimenting with different tunings, and playing a hybrid multi-stringed guitar.

Love PM. Don’t spin him enough. That’s on me. I have some of his discs. Need to listen to him more.

Great idea! Along the lines of the Knack and their “Get the Knack.” Marketing genius. But they were bubblegum disguised as power pop. The Unfamiliar would need to be something new and refreshing. It could work!
Sub title: "Hell, we don't even know each other".

Potential Band name!
First album “We are the Unfamiliar”
Reminds me of this Swedish band "The Amazing" ... "let's give a warm welcome to, The Amazing _____ "

anyone know what city this is?

Maybe not amazing. But I like it. Sunday morning music to hear while reading. Even though the lyrics were in English, I couldn’t understand them as they were so lost in the mix. Note to self, add to Spotify feed.

Our album is officially out in three weeks, but Spotify is the one streaming service it will not be on. For reasons I can't mention here, but I'm sure you can understand.
