Thunderbird Club

I never knew these existed. I don’t expect I’ll ever use one but good to know about I guess.
I was reading about a guy wanting to use a resonator ukulele as a slide lap steel style. The things people think up. 🤷‍♂️

You did well getting a whole lb out it! But I wouldn't want to play a whole set with an 11 poundero_O

For now, this one will be tuned to C#, F#, B, E to play along with a bunch of Black Sabbath songs, and mostly played sitting. The other one, a white one, that is exactly 11lbs, was used frequently for practice and live shows, but only for half of a 50 minute set. Heavy yes, but otherwise it’s a great player and fantastic sounding one. The one in the picture will have 120, 95, 75, 55, and it will need a fret job. And, the neck (1979) is about as chunky as a late ‘60’s telecaster neck. It’s not likely to see any live action or even to leave the house…

This was on the same page. I like this.

Fender Custom Shop NAMM Limited Edition 1955 Precision Bass Deluxe Closet Classic Faded Taos Turquoise w/Tweed Case

I like those except for that control plate. It looks like an afterthought, or maybe they didn't have enough pickguard material?

I'd just get another guitar and set it up for slide.

I could see myself having one of these pointy things…

I love mine! That one looks good, but I do prefer the earlier location of the Mudbucker.
