It certainly seems to fill the hand more than the Gibson and the Epi that I checked out locally. Of course I would like more, but I can work with this
fo sho! It's juicier than the FSO that I had before it, and I
luv luv LUV the nice satiny finish! I've already decided to throw in the towel with regards to finding my fantasy neck, until I have a fantasy budget to work with. This feels as good or better than anything else I've tried since this adventure began. I'mma hafta dig out the guitool box & tweek it some. The action is sadder than a bag of orphans & I'm thinkin' there might be a burr on the saddle or somethin' cuz I'm gettin' a li'l "zorp" on the G string that is not fret-related, and the nut still looks new. I know jack friggin' squat about electronics, bit I'm gonna peek in the cavity & see if there's something obvious that might be causing the surprisingly low output. Y'all said these Goths had dark tone, and you weren't kiddin'... but there's nothin' here I can't work with. The bridge pickup is well... "different". Again... nothing I can't work with, but I was playing with my fingers... but it sounded quite "picked" (which is a kinda bonus, cuz I can't stand using a pick on a bass). I can't really do a good review until I get some new strings & give it a good set up, but all the important stuff I can't fix myself or with the help of a friend, is sexy, solid, and best of all...
MINE!!!
