Thunderbird Club

And KY has a Hebron...my inlaws' family has lived in the real one for over 900 years.
A not-so-interesting fact:

Before the Beatles, Ringo looked into moving to the Houston area because he wanted to play with Lightnin' Hopkins.

He was looking at working in the chemical plant/manufacturing area of town on the Southeast side.

Had this happened, he would have been around 30 miles from Liverpool,Tx.

Well I took the plunge... Goth incoming in a few days :) Thanks for your feedback! I'll be gladly joining your club 🤘
Fantastic! I think you’re gonna love it. And if you decide to mod or personalize the tone of the bird for any reason dint hesitate to PM me or post on the club forum for advice or suggestions. The Goth is quite possibly the sweetest spot for mods in the entire Tbird line up, plus it’s a fine bass dead stock as well.

Here’s some of the Goth Joy in my line up…
Capped Goth - .022uf tone cap + Hipshot bridge (modded to full Fender contact style) + Gotoh Batwing tuners + Ernie Ball Cobalt Flat strings. It’s a phenomenal sounding and playing bird. Passive Controls are Volume, Volume, Tone.

FrankenGoth - Bartolini dual coil humbuckers + single coil split wiring (north neck coil and south bridge coil only in series single coil mode) + Aguilar OBP-2 two band preamp + La Bella Black Tape wound strings. In single coil mode it’s crystal clear baritone guitar sounding, in humbucker mode it’s ultra agressive with bone shaking lows. Active Controls are Volume, Volume, treb boost/cut, bass boost/cut, coil switch.

Silver Goth - body painted metallic silver + DiMarzo 1 humbucker placed in the Mudbucker position + both stock pickups wired to a Dingwall four position pickup selector (neck, both in series, both in parallel, bridge) + a pan pot to fade from full Mudbucker to full Dingwall switch output and everything in between + treb/bass boost/cut stacked pot for master tone. Powerful deep dark smooth overall tone not muddy with ample mids and top end available from each pickup. Active controls are Master volume (push pull for active/passive), pan pot to blend Mudbucker pickup with whatever output is selected on the Dingwall rotary pickup selector switch, stacked treb/bass boost/cut stacked pot, Dingwall 4 position rotary selector switch for middle and bridge pickups.

A future Goth project once I finish up a few other outstanding bass projects…

Very cool and original! Love a three pup layout. Do you know the control layout yet?
