I think I would have a difficult going in those urinals. Stage fright among other things.
They really are a great value bass. I love mine but was unsure how standard it is, as it was a refurbished instrument.Ok, now I'm officially asking for membership![]()

That's nice but I play tone fully open always so I tend to remove em where I can haha. So I'll need stacked pots like the pope needs his peepee. I might just go 3x volume and add a selector switch later or something like that.If you want to keep the number of knobs down to just three I’d strongly suggest going with three stacked volume/tone pots. I did that on the BlingBird I built and it sounds fantastic. As for the jack, you could use an electro socket type jack if you don’t want the plate type jack.

@Engle ?Hey does anyone have a tbird (gothic) pickguard STL file willing to share ?
No. I’ve been wondering. He hasn’t checked in since he moved to Palm Desert. He was pretty active in a couple other groups so there are others likely trying to to reach him too. I’m hoping he surfaces soon so we can try to get him to the Santa Cruz GTG in August.Does anyone have a way to contact Ray @/\/\3phist0 ?
I tried a dm, but it says he’s maxed on messages in his inbox.
He was able to get some specific potentiometers (Tocos), and he sent me a link to where he bought them. I was able to purchase some and I’d like some more, but I can’t seem to find the place that would only sell a few. The sales rep for the actual company is talking lots of 100.
I think it might be more an issue with how your fingers react to cobalt. I have had EBCF on my CP and Dano for 5 years-ish and they till aren't quite as smooth as the SIT Power Flat. For the EBCF users,
I installed the strings, wiped with alcohol and have played them for a few hours the last couple of days.
Any info on how long it takes for the slightly sticky feeling to subside?

Hmm. I never noticed a 'sticky feeling'. Or maybe what they replaced was sticky and the EBCFs felt "normal"?For the EBCF users,
I installed the strings, wiped with alcohol and have played them for a few hours the last couple of days.
Any info on how long it takes for the slightly sticky feeling to subside?

Can't you do a subpoena and compel Ray to explain his absence? No. I’ve been wondering. He hasn’t checked in since he moved to Palm Desert.
