I'm happy you gave me a little push - have not regretted the oysters for a moment, we're only on this planet a short time, gotta try things!. We're off to Pt. Angeles next Thursday (band show Saturday night) and our fave restaurant out there has some nice Hama Hama oysters on the menu - yay, yum!

Nice pic - where is this room with black walls and Pavilion-style loveseat/couch?

I am tempted to tweak the burst area between the neck screw holes a little straighter or more even.

But I also think I'm into "keep refining and you'll mess it up" territory.

Roll with it.
I'd go with "keep refining and you'll mess it up" as being correct. Sometimes the chase for small gains is not worth it given possible if not likely trade offs that are not.

There's a sound I can see...

It’s everything I could ever ask for, Marshall.
Punchy, tight and articulate.
Has a heft and clarity to any note played on the fretboard.

Nothing like this that I’ve ever heard before.
Match made in heaven with my TB1200.
Like two happy kids playing in the sandbox together.
That’s great! I haven’t heard one yet, but the gang over in the Mesa group is pretty pleased. It was a long time coming. And the price ain’t bad either.

This is at Mike Lull's showroom, I took the '64 in for a good set up which included the installation of a Bad Bird bridge that I had tucked away. Spencer Lull was quite familiar with Scott's work as we chatted. The headstock repair on mine is ugly as you may recall, but it's stable so no work was needed there. The bass plays much better and seems a bit more resonant with the new bridge, I'd take it to every show except our singer is still a klutz on stage, she runs into me all too often. When I came to pick the Bird up, Spencer invited me to play it through the Hiwatt - the same one Mike had let me have for a couple weeks, it sounded quite good! I have to say that Spencer is just the nicest guy, very much like his father, there are some folks that have a kindness and genuine quality about them, nice that passed from father to son.

550 Spyderfun...

So it's not just a matter of replacing the fried unit - once the new unit is installed it needs to be adjusted/balanced? Sorry for my lack of knowledge for most likely using incorrect terminology.
