Thunderbird Club

We came home Thursday. We stopped at my wife’s favorite fabric store in Anaheim right by whère this is on our way home it’s getting bad. My father in law is in one of the evac zones. My brother in law is bringing him up now. I’m at the mountain for a couple days. Hopefully my wife won’t make me go home. I love my father in law. But my brother in law is a stroke….

I hear you. I'm almost done with the suspension work on my Ghia. I like that lift!
It is a QuickJack. A gift from the wife a few years back, when I was still doing car shows with the RX-7 and was undercar a lot more.
A little bit of effort to set up, but mobile and tons more stable than stands, which is a plus in quake territory.

Hah! Yah, sorta' mosh-pit w/o aggressively slamming into each other! A polite mosh-pit. I recently watched a doc on Dick Dale. He was an original for sure.

Is that an old Hofner Club on the right? I recently saw Tony Scherr (Luca Benedetti trio) playing a newer one. He got a lot of nice tones out of it.
It’s an Eastwood copy

I’ve been tempted more than once by Eastwood copies. Some are reportedly very well done. Some not so much. Almost pulled the trigger on one of these some years back.

If I want something retro aside from an actual vintage bass - I build it myself. :bassist: (awesome finish by Pat Wilkins and thanks to Irv for providing my hs logo sticker )
