Thunderbird Club

Thought about purchasing one of these for trip to San Antonio where we'll be staying until early next week, but it wouldn't arrive in time. The reason being I don't have an unlined fretless five that I would feel comfortable taking on the road. It can be difficult find those that aren't in the boutique range.

An Ibanez EHB1005F

Not that they're cheap, but not like the boutiques I would prefer to leave at home or limit to short trips from home.

And the headstock has already flown off. :smug:

Usually, but not always. I chambered/lightened an alder J body from the late '80s that was very heavy.
Depending on plans I may chamber/lighten the Squire Pbass under the PG. Not sure I want to keep though. Depends. I need to talk with you about it and if there are things I need to know before beginning. Other than drilling all the way through! :rollno:

That's interesting in that they are very different bands. Cool interesting.
I like a lotta different kinds/styles. Saw Chicago, original 7 and later iterations, ~18 total times. Saw ZZ once. They were on a double bill opening for BadCo. Blew BadCo away. Some of the crowd left after ZZ's set.

Hint: Take PG off; drill lightening holes from back of bass-if go all the way through, reinstalling PG will cover yer f---* up. Vwa-lah. :smug:

Then there was "Alone Again, Naturally" by Gilbert O' Sullivan and "Touch Me in the Morning" by Diana Ross to cheer you up. Sure was a sharp transition from songs recorded on the cusp of the 1970's like Edison Lighthouse's "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)" and Bobby Sherman's "Easy, Come, Easy Go." From then on the early-70's were on a depressing kick- I remember when mom dropped a friend and I at the mall theater to watch the sci-fi feel good film "Silent Running" in 1972.
A direct result of the Beatles breaking up.

Saw Chicago once in Lexington--about '84, ZZ about 3-4 times, zero Bad Company.

... home from Scotland, stuffed full of new and wonderful memories.
So beautiful. So old and yet vibrant.
So not " the usual."

What a great trip.

Ach nae, where's me bass?
I dearly love Scotland. If we ever move out of the US, Scotland and Ireland would be likely homes.
