I'm glad this all ends tomorrow. I guess it would be cool if Spain wins. But I won't watch. It would be more entertaining to sit on the back porch and watch the grass I've been trying to restore grow.2 from Mbappe currently. He passed Messi.

It's like Warhol set up a bass.Tapes? I've used LaBella and D'Addario over the years. Can't remember which is on my Ibanez semi-hollow EB-2 wannabe.
Interesting tilt/angle/whatever on the pup.
I can't do anything on the what was going to be a ThunderPbass. Too humid every weekend. When not humid it's raining...I finally got enough ahead of life to start sandout on the build today.
starting with the neck and 800 grit at the root as finish was so thick on the sides of the neck would no longer mate to the body.
Got that solved and nicely leveled from the root to the 9th fret.
Now I have to stop and go to a social event...
Boo.
LOL - I'm frequently amazed at the set up I see on bass purchases, especially after the seller claims "it plays like butter". When that bass arrived the action was so high and uneven from string to string I couldn't imagine playing the simplest of basslines on it.It's like Warhol set up a bass.
USA is playing Spain and beating Spain in the Nations Cup Rugby. It's over now but I recorded it. Not sure who won yet.I'm glad this all ends tomorrow. I guess it would be cool if Spain wins. That's how my bass collection got so large - Buying parts and then building basses for the parts...Turns out this isn't going to fit up against the butt of the neck on the ex-Hecker there's not enough wood there for it... So I either have to install it down closer to the P position or set it into another bass. For my reasons for having this pickup, standard Mudbucker position is where I want to put it. I think I'm going to have to hold on this, continue with the Gibson Thunderbird reissue p'up and just roll that way.
I do want to use this pickup though. So far it's either getting added to the CP, or I'll have to find something inexpensive to drop this into.
O, the mulling...
A broken bridge on an otherwise pristine bass? I wonder if it didn't come like that from the factory and the buyer was too clueless to do anything about it.LOL - I'm frequently amazed at the set up I see on bass purchases, especially after the seller claims "it plays like butter". lotsa vintage 60's TBirds if you know ow what you're doing.....I'm glad this all ends tomorrow. I guess it would be cool if Spain wins. But I won't watch. It would be more entertaining to sit on the back porch and watch the grass I've been trying to restore grow.
They're made of pot metal. There have been other instances of 3-point bridges arching and breaking in the middle. You don't see it a lot, but it happens. View attachment 7538944
Waddaya mean not humid? Raining's about as humid as it gets.I can't do anything on the what was going to be a ThunderPbass. Too humid every weekend. When not humid it's raining...

How does that even happen if it didn't come out of the mold that way? There have been other instances of 3-point bridges arching and breaking in the middle. You don't see it a lot, but it happens. View attachment 7538944
