Thunderbird Club

'65 Teisco Del Rey - 30" short-scale neck, but... the overall length is longer than a Jazz bass. (due to mid-body bridge placement and huge hs) It balances well, is light, looks like "full size" 34" scale bass, is fun to play and sounds great! No cooties anywhere in sight.

Teisco "Challenge" 33.25" scale 2x single coil pups, and cool ashtray for the bridge. :)

What a cool old piece! I don't see Teiscos in that kinda condition very often!

What do the toggles do?

pu seletors - most players who play near the neck tape them both 'on' - I play near the bridge and like them a lot. (both off during break!)

KK Downing in Judas Priest, Paul Stanley in Kiss, Michael Schenker in UFO/Solo. I'm sure there are more examples but I'm semi-drunk so thats all I can think of at the moment.

I would think the Schencker brothers did that in both UFO and Scorpions way before that...

I wasn't trying to say he was the first but when I think Flying V in metal I think polkadot Randy Rhoads
And that it wasn't ESP or Jackson etc that gave the V it's metal association.
