Weird! Every performance or pic that I've seen, he had a Ric...
... and why would I be upset by that? If I got upset every time I learned something new, I'd be one pissed off emmer effer... and would be absolutely FURIOUS with the lot of you!
Didn't think you would be upset. I knew what was coming. That's all.... and why would I be upset by that? If I got upset overtime i learned something new, I'd be one pissed off emmer effer... and would be absolutely FURIOUS with the lot of you!![]()
Damn... that sucks! Will do. Thanks for the suggestions.
I know, but the used market value is about 1 grand. People here charge new price for (even heavily) used gear. Tbird auction starting at 99$? Will never happen.
Well... I could probly muster up a tear if ya think it would help...Didn't think you would be upset. I knew what was coming. That's all.
Nah. I'm good.Well... I could probly muster up a tear if ya think it would help...![]()
yeah... some people don't look any further than the ends of their nosesThe worst thing about auctions, especially eBay is people jump up in bids, like $100 more. It's 4 days away, no need to spike the price, someone's going to put in another bid by that time anyways.

It's a no reserve auction. He has to sell it for the highest bid... whatever that might be.i don't think the person has to sell it, if the winning bid is not satisfying.
And... on one of his early Rics he swapped out the pups for Tbird pups.He played birds too

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I did a search to no avail.
Here's my problem. I have an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro, the active one, that makes some strange sounds through my Fender Rumble V3 500 combo. It almost sounds like I'm playing through a chorus pedal. When I play through any of my other amps, Carvin Pro Bass 300 or Acoustic B200, the bass sounds fine. My passive basses sound fine through the Rumble.
Has anyone seen or heard of this with their Epi Thunderbird Pro?
The other basses you've tried in the Rumble... were they active or passive?Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I did a search to no avail.

And to theFixer, the Red album you have as your thumbnail has THE best bass sound I've ever encountered! But I'm sure you already know that! The other basses you've tried in the Rumble... were they active or passive?
Hell yeah!!!!!And to theFixer, the Red album you have as your thumbnail has THE best bass sound I've ever encountered! But I'm sure you already know that!
Hail Mel !!!!
Surely a resourceful individual such as yourself, could turn that active bass into another Goth...Thank you for the replies......
Huh, well I guess I may have solved my own problem! I guess the active electronics are just too hot. I turned the bass boost all the way down on the bass, and brought my bass level down on the amp, and its not making that noise. It's not a chorus sound after all, it was almost like an octave down kind of effect.
Now I just have to figure out if I like this bass enough to keep it. I had a goth Tbird and I loved it. This one is a beauty, but just not the sound I'm looking for.
