Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere. I did a search to no avail.
Here's my problem. I have an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro, the active one, that makes some strange sounds through my Fender Rumble V3 500 combo. It almost sounds like I'm playing through a chorus pedal. When I play through any of my other amps, Carvin Pro Bass 300 or Acoustic B200, the bass sounds fine. My passive basses sound fine through the Rumble.
Has anyone seen or heard of this with their Epi Thunderbird Pro?

When I had those pickups/electronics in the PRO IV they did sound a little mid scooped or maybe a slightly out of phase, but not chorus-y. What happens with the blend set to neck or bridge only? Also, if it's a bass problem, you'd expect it on all amps not just the Rumble.

The other basses you've tried in the Rumble... were they active or passive?

Thank you for the replies......
Huh, well I guess I may have solved my own problem! I guess the active electronics are just too hot. I turned the bass boost all the way down on the bass, and brought my bass level down on the amp, and its not making that noise. It's not a chorus sound after all, it was almost like an octave down kind of effect.
Now I just have to figure out if I like this bass enough to keep it. I had a goth Tbird and I loved it. This one is a beauty, but just not the sound I'm looking for.

Surely a resourceful individual such as yourself, could turn that active bass into another Goth...
