DOOOOOOOOD!!! NO!!! That is WAY too much car to let it waste away in a garage! Tell me ya got plans for it...

She's almost done, mostly just iron out some bugs and small details really. But we've been really busy the past couple years, the property we bought was bassically a cross between a full forest, a swamp, and a scrapyard with an old dilapidated house in the middle. We cleaned and cleared it out ourselves (with help from some friends), helped with the construction as much as possible, and we're still working on the trim... so ya we've been a bit too busy to finish her up.

It looks like the nut width is the same on the 4 and 5. The 4 string is 2 7/16 at the body end of the fretboard from my iffy measuring tape. When you get a chance can you measure at the end of the fretboard Larry? I had a blue NR fiver before and I thought I tried to swap necks between a 4 and 5 and there was a bit of a gap on the 5 body neck pocket.

Looks like 2 17/32" at the bottom of the heal pocket and 2 7/16" at the top of the heal pocket. I didn't realize that this would be a tapered pocket.

Nope, and probably won't at this point. That's mostly due to lack of opportunity, since lack of sense is in good supply.

The fastest I can confirm that I've been on the water, is 123MPH. I've been considerably faster than that, but I wasn't about to let go of my "Oh s#!t bar" to try to see how fast we were going! I would guess it was the 160 range somewhere. It was a 50' Skater with twin 1300hp powerhouses! Lemme tell ya... speed on the water is WWWAAAAAYYYY different than speed on land! Absolutely terrifying!!! I'm prone to believe that parachuting (with free-fall) would be way less scary than high speed water travel!

Thanks, Fix. That's my kids music school, The RSA(Rock Stars Academy) in Flint. Nice group of local musicians that teach during the day and play out at night in the local bars and music venues. Matter of fact, I'm going to be leaving the house in an half hour for their 4 PM lessons. Those two are 11 & 15 and my daughter who plays piano but wants nothing to do with rock is 13. On a positive note, she has agreed to do the keyboard for, "Don't Stop Believin' " for the kids' open mic night at a Flint bar in August. The last time they played there the audience was super supportive and made a huge big deal out of our little time keeper on the drums.

You and the kiddos brightened my heart!

Thanks, Bob! There's lots more videos of the kids playing with other kids and with each other at their school and in our music room in our home. I'm just glad to get them away from their iPhones and the internet for awhile and doing something that takes them to another skill set.

I had a 1970 AMX 390 for a while back in the late '70's. Fun fast car but that front end would start to float at around 120mph, things get real dicey when you can't steer at that speed. Got married and settled down after that car. I'm sure I would have killed myself in it had I kept it.

What a cool organization! I'll hafta look & see if I have something like the RSA in Grand Rapids area! Your kids are incredibly fortunate to have parents who support their interests and make those things possible for them!

Those 390 V8's had a lot of juice.
390, Hurst 4 on the floor in the Javelin, although, for the crazed potheads we were back then, we managed not to lift it.

Had a buddy with a Mustang that did the same thing. The bigger issue was the 4 wheel manual drum brakes! Just as a rule of thumb... it's not a good idea to exceed 100mph in any vehicle with manual 4 wheel drums! The 0 - 60 speed, is WWWAAAYYY quicker than the 60 - 0 speed!

I'm bummed! I have a pile of pics of my Dad's '55 Ford Customline, but I can't find 'em anywhere

He bought it shortly before he retired, and got to enjoy working on it until he died. He found it down in Texas. The sun had it's way with it, but there was no rust, it was all original, and the motor would turn. He worked hard to get it back to 100%, but never quite got there before he passed. He did get to enjoy driving it to shows & stuff though.

So the Goth and my current 'bird share something in common. The dadblamedest tuning machines I've ever encountered! They seem to take turns being hard to turn, slippy & grabby. Is this a common problem amongst these Epis, or am I just "lucky"?
