Thanks for the pass, Fix. I took a nap when I got home so when I got up I took the time to take a couple of pics and measurements.

1.625" at the nut. The string bed is 1" deep at the nut and I'd definitely call it a C shaped neck.

I do love the way this 5 string looks so here's a pic for all to check out. I do have the original PG but I like the look of this one better. If I sold her, both PG's would come with.

It looks like the nut width is the same on the 4 and 5. The 4 string is 2 7/16 at the body end of the fretboard from my iffy measuring tape. When you get a chance can you measure at the end of the fretboard Larry? I had a blue NR fiver before and I thought I tried to swap necks between a 4 and 5 and there was a bit of a gap on the 5 body neck pocket.

Totally with you. I was obsessed with cars and motorcycles growing up. "Then Came Bronson" is my all time favorite TV show, after "The Man From Uncle." Read everything and anything. MOPAR, Suzuki, and Husqvarna. Nothing else, except of course music, mattered. Music stuck, but cars and cycles long since left my world. My brother is a car designer and has had five of his designs put into production. I'm no longer impressed. It has been a long time since I've been obsessed. Heck, I'm an old guy perfectly happy with Subarus. But I still get a kick out of watching "Grand Prix" with James Garner and "Le Mans." I thought Ron Howard's "Rush" was fabulous. I even liked that Tom Cruse NASCAR movie several years ago. I was also a Tour de France addict since the Lemond years, until the drug scandal. I just can't watch it any more. Just call me a grumpy old guy.

You mean until they actually did started addressing drugs in pro-cycling seriously. (unlike most much bigger pro-sports) Just maybe LeMond was clean, but judging from pro-cyclings history, it's highly unlikely no matter what he sez. He won the Tour more or less w/o team support - this is unfathomable today. Anyway, enough of off-topic meanderings - how about that Vox Mobile? ;)

Eventhough Lennon was an a**hole, the world would have been a better place without Yoko in it IMHO...
Why, cause she made some art you don't like?

If that is the latest 'Mad Max' film you are talking about... I was so looking forward to that movie, and so.... disappointed.
The most recent one is actually my favorite of them.

Ya know, I was suspicious even then. That was around the time time the Chinese cross-country runners were busted using a strange worm extract. Who knows. I followed cycling for years (and cross-county, track and swimming). All have been dirty. Pretty much why I don't really give a s**t about sports any more. Although I have to confess that I still love my Dodgers.

I have zero interest in cars to the extent that I have neither the desire nor the ability to drive, EXCEPT I like Formula One - mainly for the bleeding edge engineering. Since it has almost disappeared from free to air telly my interest is waning. Cycling is generally more fascinating than motor racing.
Driving is a way to get from point A to point B.

To no one's surprise, I drive a beat-up minivan.

My first car was one of these (in yellow no less). It died because it could not be cost effectively repaired any longer. It had the newer 1600cc engine (with Bosch electronic fuel injection) producing a whopping 40ish BHP and 4 on the floor transmission. It was terrible; it had the handling of a large truck and acceleration not quite as good as that large truck fully loaded. At full speed, it had difficulty breaking any speed laws on the highway. It had the one great advantage that everyone thought that with the engine in the back, the trunk was in the front. But, because it had the pancake engine, there was also a trunk in the back; a trunk in which beer could be stored for consumption at lunch time in high school.

If I saw one at a reasonable price, I would be very tempted to buy it. Fortunately, I think they have all rusted to pieces so there is no temptation.

Sometimes memories are best kept as just memories.

There are next to no machines I have ever controlled that didn't make me want to see how fast they would go. That includes lawn tractors. And this one:

It had no good parts by the time we were done with it, but it still ran.

It's my understanding that the Camaro was new from the ground up for its platform but then again if they stretched or shrunk a Holden platform, I may or may not have been in on the info.

As for the Holdens that have made it to our shores, the Pontiac G8's and the Chevy SS's have been niche hits and well received. Nice cars for sure.
I want an early 2000s Monaro (GTO to you).

Supposedly the return "Transformers" Camaro was designed by Holden using the VE (Zeta to you) Commodore platform as the basis.then adapted for NA production methods.
That's why it was a little bigger than a lot felt optimum for a Camaro. It came from the G8/SS family.
I'd have one.

The current Camaro is from the Cad ATS base I think, "optimised for Chev price point"

Here's some more proof of lack of intelligence when it comes to wanting to go fast. I took that one after I came off the track and looked at the recorded high speed. I may be dumb, but I'm not dumb enough to try using a camera riding a motorcycle. I might have broken the ton on the way home from work today. Maybe. I admit nothing.

WOW!!! I can't believe what I'm seeing! That's the width of a standard modern 4 string P-bass nut... and it's a 5 string:wideyed:

Sounds like it's good 'n thick though. Weirdo_O

Do you also have the 4 string version?

I sure do appreciate ya postin' those for me:thumbsup:
