Thunderbird Club

I think the Camaro has been recycled over and over again by now.

Recycled Camaro?.

I was asked, in a bar, by two young ladies, in North East Portland, (sitting quietly by myself, drinking), if i drove a Camaro.
i think it was a dare of some sort.

I replied, no, i drive a Toyota pickup.

This is what i looked like at that time.
I drove the Toyota.

I would have guessed Camaro too, I think it was common for rockers to drive Camaro's for awhile. What happened when you told them Toyota?, deal breaker?.

I thought that was strictly due to the can, not necessarily the taste. I'm not a beer drinker so I couldn't comment to the taste with any authority.
Try this since your not a beer drinker. Do a blindfold test and have a shot of can A(Fosters) and then can B(Oil). I'll bet you wont know witch one is witch :roflmao:. I would love to have someone do that challenge for me on a seriously hot and humid day, recorded for youtube of course

It was the 70s and he would need room to accommodate bass gear and NE Portland dollies. I was thinking this (with 8-track player and shag carpet) vs. Camero:

And for the record, my bitch'n '72 Mustang fastback had an 8-track ("Houses of the Holy" and "Paranoid" - but no Cheap Trick).

You've got my hair length from back in the day beat by four to six inches. I also had a full beard on and off from '76 to '80 while an undergrad and again from '83 to '86 while in grad school. Hair was pretty much normal after '80 when I met my now wife of 33 years. Also sported a Fu at times. Sadly, I've worked for the clampdown ever since so pretty much the corporate look.

I suspect we would have been friends had we gone to the same colleges.

Cars included a '59 Volvo 544, a '76 Dodge Colt, a '72 Plymouth Sattellite and a '78 VW Scirocco.

When we got married, my wife and I took a five week camping trip in her Dad's '80 Toyota pickup with a shell on the back from Cali up the coast through Oregon and Washington, into BC and Alberta and down through the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Nevada. Best damn AC in a car I've ever driven.

Johnny Walker was my "gateway" Scotch. After having found single malts, I can't stand the taste of blends. In my defense... after going to single malts... I've barely tried any blends. The few times I have, reminded my why I don't. I've had JW red, black, and blue... and wouldn't use them for anything more than paint thinner.:sour:
You can send me the black and the blue :D

Oohhh... now, don't be like that! It's actually my favorite drink. I just wish I could sip it instead of having to slam it. There are a few variations... but my preferred one goes like this:

Get a shot of Irish cream, float a little Irish whisky on top of it, and drop it (glass and all) into a half pint of Guinness, then slam it (you have to slam it, cuz the Irish cream starts to sorta "curdle" when it hits the beer). The taste is absolutely scrumptious! I strongly urge you to try it!
People always assume that it's like some kinda frat party ritual intended to make you piss your pants & forget your name. That really isn't the case with the car bomb. They don't subject you to the brain cell genocide that those kinds of drinks usually do. On my best night... I put 13 of 'em away in addition to keeping pints of Guinness by my side all night.

(P.S. that was not my "best" night:wacky:)
Just note I've heard people take offence to the name of that drink.

Edit. Go for your life, but just be aware. Since I was made aware of it, the term causes an eyebrow to raise. I wouldn't have thought twice before
