Honduras mahogany? That's my favorite wood to work with, although it turns my hands weird colors after a while. I called that grain bee's wing mahogany. It is beautiful stuff.It's a crappy picture, bass is actually trans cherry on ribbon stripe mahogany.
I have seen that.
But the trans cherry of Carlo's is something else.....
If I had the dough. I'd order a two p/up version of that with '60's p/up spacing, and the tone control mod that was suggested where it acts as totally out of the cuicut, or in.

I have a small stash. If I had known what was going to happen with it back when, I would have a big stash of it. I'm not sure what's special enough and small enough for what little I still have. There isn't enough left to build chairs, my favorite use of it.This might be Sapele

Hey all! I have a recently aquired, adoptive daughter who really wants to learn bass. She's a huge Nikki Sixx fan so I've decided to get her a Thunderbird for her birthday next month.
Hers the great part, her parents offered her either a bass or Tix to a concert and she wanted to go to a concert with us (me wife) so she's getting Danzig Tix for her birthday to take us. I have to get her a bass. Ive looked around, I've settled on a basic epi to start. I'd prefer a goth or Sixx but any will do. Now....who will sell me one for a good deal? I'd much prefer here than the usual places.
