Thunderbird Club

Slight change of pace here. I FINALLY got some decent shots of my band and one of my Bird's at a local music festival we played a couple of weeks ago. Just thought I'd post a few since they turned out pretty well (taken by the local newspaper photog). The Aguilar amp I was using was provided backline (guitar players brought their own of course) but it did sound damn good.

Very nice, other than continually getting photobombed by Cook Chiropractic.

Gotta give the local sponsors their props you know... This happens every year on the local town square the weekend before Labor Day, really a pretty nice scenic setup taken in whole. Usually at least one nationally recognized (older) name act as the headliner plus several "bigger" indy touring acts. We were a filler later afternoon local act but what the hey, exposure is exposure.

Please stop.

I'm quoting here (again) because there were quite a few more posts in this vein after the original request to stop this was put up yesterday evening. It's more than a bit frustrating for me to read posts that are disrespectful of the discomfiture that this topic causes for some us (including me). This is not about the OP and the responses directly related to that surgery but rather the vast amount of anecdotal posts that went up after it was suggested that we stop.
Lets please be respectful of this and try to read and comprehend before so much keyboard diarrhea gets posted.

Thanks, Queen

While I'll didn't partake in any descriptive posts this go around, I wasn't sure folks were being serious. Thanks for clarifying and using your velvet-ed glove across our collective buttocks, Dear Queen.

Was it an 810 or a 412?

Also, tell the guitar player with the Jackson to take off the tuner when he plays! (my pet peeve)

We have a local festival like that Father's day weekend. Typically a headliner that was a big deal back in the day. A couple of years ago it was Devo. I took my daughter for the first time this year as she is now old enough to enjoy the music and pay attention long enough. Hearing protection for both of us, but hers is -32dB. They also have a number of smaller 'stages' on the street. Those are occupied by local bar bands and some of them are incredibly fun, especially the era specific tributes like the 80s band that plays the part entirely too well.
