So I guess this would be the wrong time to tell you how many iv lines I lay on a weekly basis? Or gastric tubes and katheters?

Though I'm clearly not as fond of any of those procedures as you appear to be... none of that stuff would really bug me... unless the IV was going in a wrist or spine. ***SSSSCHLALALALALA***BOOGELYBOOGELYBOO***NYAHNYAHNYAH***
It gives me a bizarre collection of anxiety fueled sensations all at once. I honestly cannot express the way I feel when I think about it, or worse... talk about it... or worse still... if somebody else touches me on my back or wrists by surprise... WHOA!!! That can ruin an afternoon for a variety of people all at once!

I was thinking about focus correction surgery. I don't kow if it is Lasik or Lasek or whatever. A friend had that when he had a catract removed. He's from Texas and spent way too much time squinting into the sun. Anyway, he says he has one eye that's for close vision and one eye that's for distance vision. It seems to work for him, but I think both eyes the same would be better. I don't mind reading glasses.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm making light of your friend's misfortune... but I have this "disease" or "condition" or whatever (one of many, it seems), that won't allow me to walk past an opportunity like this without pickin' it up. You'll see what I mean when you finish telling us about your friend, and his "Texas Cataract"

Also we do a lot of epidural and spinal aneasthesia as well - So lots of needles in the back too, and central iv lines as well in the neck veins...

It's been a while since I've expressed my appreciation for this club, and for each of you. As a result of a conversation among a few of us, including @JIO and @Count Bassie... I now have THIS to tickle my earbones with:

So I spent time putting the goth back to "normal", using the XLs that came on my classic pro that were still in good condition. The classic pro owner cut the strings way too short , the d and g didn't even have a complete turn around the peg. So after repeated loosening and tightening required during a truss and bridge set up, both of them snapped right at the peg so I had to go into a stash and break up a set . Probably slinkies, the only colored ball set I had available was with a tapered 110 e and I didn't want to break that one up.

Be sure to leave at least a full wrap around your pegs folks, strings ain't cheap! (2-3 is ideal, but I tend to leave as many as can fit so the string has a chance to be long enough to fit on another bass).

Check this out! Makes parting with the bird less painful.

I bet a bird would sound good with super ferrites. This is the mahogany body upgrade peavey foundation. That body is probably 84 or earlier, but the neck serial dates to 87. So likely a " parts bass". Tone removed and logos sanded off, but for $80 with a bag I can't complain. I have since used 2 coats of f one fretboard oil on the body. This is a restoration project sold as "needs work", but is fully functional as is, I could gig it as is.

I thought upcoming gigs would cover it, but that ship has sailed (the soad tribute). However I have a full lineup learning material to get together soon and a 50/50 chance of taking over the next gig if my old band can't get a new singer and bass player up to snuff by then.

There was one for sale here last month, but I think I'd get a 60's EB-3 first.

I was amused/amazed that my JC had exactly one wrap on the post. Very exact measuring in that factory. I guess they are making sure that you put fresh strings on it when you set it up.
