I felt compelled to post this for a few different reasons. It's from 2007 (Tal was 21 at the time, but looks about 14). She's doing a spot on an Australian TV show. As we all know, we have a few of Australias finest among our members. Among them, is a big Tom Petty/Heartbreakers fan. Tal has worked with Belmont Tench a couple times. Also of interest... there's a "the Darkness" poster on the wall behind Vinnie Colaiuta (just strikes me as odd, because it appears to be a "Good Morning Australia" kinda show). Also... she gives a brief interview in which you can learn a little bit about her.

Yeah, that's breakfast TV on a channel I never watch. Richard Wilkins, the presenter, was a minor pop star (as Richard Wilde) in NZ in the 70s.

I'm such a miserable old bat -- I like my jazz acoustic.

WOW!!! She's wildly talented... and I gotta give her mad props for being able to sing like that while playing clever bass lines over complex time sigs! I'm just not particularly fond of her flavor of jazz. Incredible musicianship though!
