THANK GOD there's another human who has seen that movie!!! I've only met one other person who's seen it... and that was the guy who showed it to me! I've only been able to talk 2 people into watching it with me, & both of them had to be talked out of calling the nuthouse on my behalf when it was over. It seems people's taste/tolerance for the absurd, just ain't what it used to be

Jack Nance, the lead actor in EH was in Twin Peaks and all of David Lynches films up through Lost Highway - he passed shortly after. He played a handyman (cameo) in LH and another worker has really loud abrasive music playing on his boom-box and is told to turn it down. The soft spoken Jack Nance character sadly sez' "...I kinda' like that music..."

My white '89 came with black hardware, I have of course changed it out and agree with "vintage" comment.
I saw another 2011/2012 Gibson Thunderbird IV, in stock in a store. It definately had a fretboard made out from something different fron Rosewood. It looked like Baked Maple, judging from the wood grain.
And, of course, it wasn't a fake one: the store is one of the most important Gibson super dealers in Italy.

I still really dislike speed knobs. I much prefer top hats. Mostly because speed knobs I find hard to pop off.
They're the Tort knobs Kat mentioned, that's how I found the those knobs.. They are pricey but it doesn't seem like they they have a lot of competitors, so they can almost set their own price.
