Test press.

@Sartori @JJR58

Yesterday was the hottest September (spring day on record). Parts of the state reached 40°C and the bushfires are starting already. Nevermind, there’s nothing going on ... nothing to see here.
It was really annoying here. Tons of fires in the hills, super hot (so a PITA to work in), not enough wind to blow the smoke and haze away. Yuck.

All these posts about metric vs imperial reminds me of a funny story:

A few years ago the family was on a road trip through Europe. During our stay in Rome we went for gas at a local gas station, which was not a self-serve station.

While we were being tanked, my girlfriend (who was watching the gas meter) pointed out something was wrong and we were getting more gas than the tank could hold - Namely 52 liters.

We were driving a new VW Polo, which holds 45 liters in total - But since we were not driving on fumes, the car could probably only take 42 liters at that particular moment.

When I confronted the guy that our car could not take 52 liters, he said he didn’t speak English and didn’t understand me. Eventually he did understand was I was saying, and explained that they were “different liters”..! :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Eventually I gave up the discussion, as it was futile... Besides the “different liters” answer kinda made my day anyway! :D

So apparently a liter is not always a liter in Europe... :)

Love that. I’m all about black hardware. I’d consider this, but not sure if it would be as comfortable as the plastic as a thumb rest.

I've pretty much always changed one string at a time when I change strings. Partly cause I worry about neck stability, and partly because it makes it easier to get the new strings roughly in tune.
I do that too, always low E to high G. Always curious why string companies label them ordered from high to low.

Do the 0-11 knobs come in top hat style with chrome on top?

Not sure, but part of the reason I got these is because they didn’t have the chrome tops. I think that looks horrible with black hardware. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

The metal works fine as a thumb rest.

My bird has (mostly) chrome hardware. So chrome tops look good on it.

Cool. I was looking at getting vinyl pressed for some recordings that are almost mixed/mastered. I was surprised how expensive it was. I notice yours was done in outside the US. Any guess if it is cheaper than if it was done in the US?
Pirates Press is the company that prints the vinyl.

We're going through Doom Stew Records so that it's not as expensive as last time.

Nah Jeff, chrome (or nickel) is the correct choice in almost all circumstances.

I'm committed to go that path Kat.
Besides, the Hipshot is already on and the other parts arrived yesterday at my office.
I like bling anyway. I use this analogy when it comes to a mean looking bass compared to a softer more traditional look. I quote from The Adventures of Baron Von Munchausen, "I don't want to be mean, I want to be dainty".
