I originally thought the same thing except the top horizontal slightly curved section of the harp (where the strings attach) its actually called the "neck" of the harp.

Note the neckless branch of stringed instruments (i.e. zither) that evolved very early from harps... They are the three slab shaped instruments with no necks.

A zither just has strings, it doesn't have the buttons. I think Klondike is right, its an autoharp. You get chords just by pushing the buttons.
